We have wonderful news! Stichting Mattar is taking part in the school project! The school in the village of Ma’aratsien was bombed and is now being restored. It is going to be beautiful. Mattar is funding the heating system.
It may seem a curious priority for the Idlib government to restore the school first while there are still no decent houses, but it has been explained to us. The need is so great! Wherever there is money for something, they seize it with both hands. The money to rebuild the school came from a Turkish organisation. Mattar is paying for the heating system.
We still need to make sure there is money for furniture. Taha says there is furniture, but our partner in Syria, Molham, went to take a look and spoke with the authorities. Molham says there is no furniture yet.
